As part of the ECHO UAG community we decided to ask some of our experts about what is their #1 tip for someone if they wanted to start a landscaping business. What are some things to remember, some financial advice and of course how to get customers. Here is what three of our expert members had to say.
If you lose a client or if a client is upset or if you can't satisfy a client, don't take it personally. It's just a job. It's like when I go to McDonald's and then I go to Burger King, McDonald's doesn't get their feelings upset. They don't get hurt. It's nothing personal. If a client decides to hire somebody else and it's nothing that I have done personally to them. If I didn't say anything out of line or do something, if it's just something they just prefer to go to somebody else, I can't really lose sleep over it because at the end of the day, there's nothing that I could have done any different to change that situation.
Stick with Echo because I would jump around from brand to brand thinking there's something better out there. I always went back to Echo because of the quality.
Focus on the business component. The business end of it. The technical end of it will come. You'll gain the experience, but really you need to master the business principles because hard work will make you healthy. Smart work will make you wealthy.
