As part of the ECHO UAG community we decided to ask some of our experts about what is their #1 tip for someone if they wanted to start a landscaping business. What are some things to remember, some financial advice and of course how to get customers. Here is what three of our expert members had to say.

Take Risks

Jason Ambros – Ambro’s Landscaping Inc.

Best piece of advice is you have to take risks and of course, taking wise risks, not putting your company, but you have to stretch and get uncomfortable. If you're just doing the same routine thing, like if you're just doing mowing and that's all you want to do, you won't expand and you won't grow. You have to constantly educated yourself into learning new things and pushing yourself in one thing that my mentor always told me is if a client asks you to do a job, if you don't know how to do it, tell them you know how to and then figure it out later because that's how you get out of your comfort zone and that's how you continue to grow and to learn new things.

Learn Everything

Keith Kalfas – Landscaping Employee Trap

Learn everything you can about finance and accounting. Don't listen to nine-to-fivers and go start your business immediately.
