As part of the ECHO UAG community we decided to ask some of our experts about what is their #1 tip for someone if they wanted to start a landscaping business. What are some things to remember, some financial advice and of course how to get customers. Here is what three of our expert members had to say.

Study the market

Kevin Frost – Fall River Lawn & Landscape

What's going on in your area? I get a lot of questions a lot of times from all over the United States asking me about prices. How do I price this? How do I price that? I tell them I can't price it for you because the pricing in your industry is different than my industry. I think studying the industry and what's going on in their area would be the smartest thing they could do.

Spread The Word

Mark Thomas – Thomas Homes Inc.

One thing I found is if you do a really good job for a customer, then the neighbors see it and it doesn't take much to start spreading through the neighborhood. You may not even ask them but I think driving by and if you see the neighbor out there just waving to them.
