Hello EMB community! Jaymz with Second Mile Landscaping and Lawn Care here! As you may know, I'm glad to be a part of the User Advisory Group and share tips with fellow industry pros to help each other grow our businesses. Today, I want to share my process of preventing weeds on mulch beds.

If you want to prevent weeds on mulch, you should apply a weed preventer, such as Preen, after cleaning and preparing the beds and before laying the mulch. Then, make sure to water the beds to activate the weed preventer. I use the Ryobi Battery-Powered Backpack Sprayer for this job, but any other trusted sprayer will do the work.
