ECHO SRM-3020 vs STIHL FS 111: String Trimmer Review and Comparison

August 3, 2018

Recently, UAG member Brad Behr of Copper Creek Cuts got to compare the new ECHO SRM-3020 string trimmer with the STIHL FS-111.

Both products have the U-shaped handles, which are great for very heavy brush, and balance the weight more evenly to help combat fatigue and muscle pain.

In this video, Brad shares his take on the pros and cons of each string trimmer.

Some quick takeaways:

  • The ECHO SRM-3020 string trimmer has a smaller guard than the STIHL, but does have a bigger cutting swath

  • ECHO uses the Speed-Feed 400 head, which has some useful advantages over the STIHL string trimmer

  • The ECHO string trimmer comes with two filters, which offers more protection to the engine from dust and dirt

I hope this video helps, and shares the differences between the two string trimmers!
