What Your Lawn Care Biz “Admin Day” Should Look Like

Picture this. You’ve just come home from a long day out in the field. All you want to do is enjoy some quality time with your family, when suddenly you remember the massive list of administrative tasks that you’ve been putting off.

How can you relax when you’ve got this on your mind?

Us green industry pros have been here at one point or another. It’s so easy to let the backend housekeeping tasks slip through the cracks, especially when you’ve been working like crazy.

That’s why I dedicate one day per month to just do admin work, no matter what. I strongly suggest you do the same--pick a day that works for you, and dedicate it to some accounting, setting up estimates, cashing checks, or even tidying up the shop.

Trust me, if the backend is failing, your business will suffer. Plus, procrastinating all your admin will also negatively impact your mental health. Do yourself a favor and plan accordingly.
