Is there a difference buying from Home Depot vs a Echo Dealer? Are their products the same quality and price range? I live in the middle of 3 major cities and have several Home Depots with in 30 minutes of my house. Also I have a Home Depot Business Card and it is so easy to purchase equipment with my card or order online.

I always prefer to buy from an ECHO Dealer. However if there are no dealers around i wouldnt hesitate to buy from Home Depot, especially if it is easier for you. There is no difference in quality between dealer and home depot. The only difference is service after the sale.

I would think the dealer would generally have higher prices but provide more intimate service. That is a generalization and may not always prove true, however.

I've found the dealer I use, (Lancaster Sports n Turf), to be infinitely more helpful & far better educated on products. I've also noticed pricing is similar but assortment isn't even close. Dealers have the full line while HD has a limited assortment. I've actually taken items off the shelf at my dealer, & they have shown me how to use it BEFORE I've made my purchase. I'd rather spend a small percentage more for the knowledge the dealer provides.
