I love it but seen to not last that long when going around fences.

Sorry no one replied sooner! I like the stuff a lot. I like that it cuts through grass quicker than the square oregon line I was using, even though it doesn't last as long on driveways.

I have to say it cuts grass amazing but fact is in lawn care life there is object in the way. It don't last once you start hitting things especially fence. I did a youtube video and with in a 10 minute video black diamond used 8 feet more the other trimmer line by redmax and stihl.

Very pleased with the performance on grass which it's designed for: but as others have mentioned doesn't last around chain link fence or concrete.

Pardon the pun, but I'll have to "echo" what everyone else is saying. Love the way it slices through the grass but it just doesn't seem to last as long.

I really liked my Black diamond line
It seemed to cut better and my trimmer didn't seemed to work as hard. I would like to get some more.

I use Black Diamond, it cuts grass and weeds very well even at lower rpm. Especially when you have to trim around vinyl siding and/or fences. Yes, you use a little more line than some of the other brands out there but it saves on potentially damaging your customer's property.

when I first got the line earlier this spring I was disappointed that the line didn't last long and like some of the guys above mentioned how quickly it would wear down on those harder surfaces i was like man i bought a huge roll lol. However I started to pay attention how i was working the trimmer. I learned by using the tougher line I could get away with a lot of out of bounds away with the trimmer line and it would last a long time. So i made myself learn how to use the black diamond line without going through so much so fast. no i can go 20 lawns without re-spooling. I learned how to not let so much of the trimmer line touch the fence while trimming or dig into the ground while edging and cleaning up the cracks without pushing so much of the line onto those abrasive materials. So now it becomes an art and an art i learned quickly. Now I wouldn't dream of going to any other line because this line cuts so smooth and fast with less effort from the engine. the slicing effect the black diamond does is better for the grass, as it helps to reduce the damaged ends. When i would use a larger other brand line line Stihl cf3-pro trimmer line. Yes it would last a long time between bumps, but man would lit tear of customers properties and rip grass a part instead of cutting it. It would also make a mess when edging throwing stuff everywhere. the engine would have to have a higher rpm in order to perform, that is using the echo SRM 2620.

so my thoughts are this, for heavy heavy brush and thick stubborn pasture grass, I would rather use stihl cf3-pro as it is super tough, but for regular properties for lawn cutting I would use black diamond all day long as that is a better line for such use.

hope that helps
