How does everyone like the Pro - Extreme Series Trimmers, Edger, and Hedge Trimmers? I am thinking about dumping the last couple pieces of Stihl we have and upgrade to the new Pro - Extreme Series! I recently bought a couple of Echo and Shindaiwa pieces and I have been extremely impressed!

I was able to play around a bit with the pro extreme trimmer the other day. I have only ever used stihl products before then. The pro extreme felt solid and was visibly well made. It started on one pull and had a ton of torque. the one I was playing with also had echo's new black Diamond trimmer line in it and it was noticeably smoother running, as in little vibration. Cant wait to get one out in the field day to day and see how they compare to what Im used to.

The Echo 2620 and Shindiawa T262 is the latest and greatest of all stick products out right now.

Power to weight and the air filtration system is the best and with the price and warranty they are great.

Very nice to read good things about the pro series, that is what I am looking at upgrading to.

The pro-extreme series is great. We also have the pas system in a 2620 that has great power.

I started out with the Husqvarna 322L and found a sthil FS-85 pro-series. The Husqvarna I love because it is light and the trigger is light as well meaning no effort and no soreness after long periods of use. I bought the echo pro-extreme stick edger and trimmer both using the 2620 engine.

PROS- TRIMMER / really like the toughness feel of the equipment and the solid built of echo in that line up. the engine is pure monster and i really like that and I feel that is important. I really like the fact that the power helps to knock down the tough grass or thick grass as well. the weight i feel is decent and in the middle. with being a heavy duty trimmer it can't be to light or else it wouldn't be heavy duty. I like how i can run a 24" swath and still have the power to cut down anything.

CONS TRIMMER / it does drink gas like crazy when you run it wide open. I didn't care for the trimmer head to much, to much time getting line in there and to much twisting with my wrist. I took that off and out on a Husqvarna T-35 trimmer head (best trimmer head on the market). The trigger i am not to thrilled about either. It has a heavy trigger and if you are doing a big property or even an average one, your finger really starts to cramp up. I am going to do a video on adjusting that trigger pull.

PROS- stick edger / love the power and the ability to slice through anything. well built and little heavy but thats to be expected.

CONS - stick edger / wish they made an easier way to adjust the head on that unit for taller or shorter folks.

other than that i feel that these power equipment would be a great fit for you and i know i love mine and use them daily.

hope that helps.

I used the Pro Extreme Edger all season this year and have def been impressed. Not one issue and more than enough power. Looking forward to getting the trimmer for this next season.

Haven't had a chance to put them to the test yet but I'd love to give them a shot.

So far so good. We want to put a few months in the harsh summer conditions on our trimmers to give a full review of them. The PB770 blower has been outstanding. We actually prefer it over our STIHL blowers.

Update!!!! Sold my Echo 580T after only using it for 5 months
Bought a Husqvarna 150BT instead. Lighter, cheaper , same amount of power did I mention lighter lol oh plus it doesn't operate at a very high dbl level. You could not wear ear plugs and not have a headache
