Do you use a fertilizer that's pet-friendly? If so what kind?

I've been using a fertilizer product called Milorganite for 2 years now. The main reason I chose this product was because its safe for children and pets, it's non-toxic and free of chemical nutrients and pesticides. I use a broadcast spreader to apply, as it's a small granule type product. This stuff works, and it really greens the lawn quickly. Best part is, its very competitively priced, actually lower in cost than most other lawn fertilizers.

Super cool, I've seen them but haven't looked into their product much but now I might have to.

We use Milorganite if a home owner has pets or kids. This product keeps grass greener then any other stuff on market. You don't have to put down as often as other products either.

I have been using Milorganite as well on our lawn for the past year since we got a dog. I've noticed we don't have use it as frequently as other products and it gives me a peace of mind to know our dog is safe.

I always suggest Milorganite to home owners with pets. This is what I personally use and it also shows the customers that you care about their pets.

Are you guys who are using it explaining the benefits to the consumer? Sounds like a great selling point for those with kids/animals.

Kind of resurrecting an old thread, but if you haven't read up on the history of Milorganite, it is pretty neat. Basically a public department in Milwaukee decided to use the solid leftovers after treating sewer water to make and sell fertilizer! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milorganite
