So this past week I have been able to test Echo's new Black Diamond Premium Trimmer line and i have to say it is Awesome! it really just cuts thru grass like butter lol. i have used a lot of different lines over the years like Gator line, Huskys Titanium line and the colored stuff lol, but this line is cutting better than them all, but i noticed that it runs out a little quicker than others, not sure if thats me being in the mountains where i hit lots of rocks but from what i have tested it is really good stuff! What lines do you guys use and like most? Have you tried Black Diamond yet? would love to hear what you guys think!

You're right this stuff is awesome. But it does seem to run out a little faster than some of the other lines I've used.

The Black Diamond is great stuff because its black it blends in and don't have to worry about bright Yellow or Orange in the fresh cut lawn.

It also give a really nice even clean cut.

When doing property/acreage the Echo Cross Fire line is the best.

You can get it all the way up to .155 the stuff is so thick and tuff it doesn't break it gets a dull round edge.

I've been using the Husqvarna titanium line for yrs and seem to have good luck with it. I would really like to try the echo black diamond to compare it. I think I'll order some tomorrow just to try it and see if it cuts better.

I use the Stihl round line. Cuts good and is very durable. Never makes a dull cut,

I've been using the green Stihl Line, but I'm gonna be switching to gatorline when I run out. Echo Crossfire is also a great trimmer line.

When I first started a year ago I was trying all kinds of lines. I discovered some things about the thinner lines and the thicker lines. I use the Husqvarna 322L trimmer and I am hoping I can buy a echo trimmer next month. But what I noticed is the the heavier lines take more power from the trimmer engine to wind up faster and start cutting, plus it also damages property a lot easier and it also slung more objects into my face and body easier. It did last longer but I didn't like the .0105 and .0100. So I found the Dewalt trimmer line at .080 to be a great choice for me at the time. It was light enough so that the engine to get to cutting speeds quicker and with less effort and that means less fuel used. Also it was easier to control when running at full speed and it didn't damage customers property near as easy as the heavier lines. The lighter line also wore out faster so I had to bump more often. I was able to use less engine power to get the job done and that also spun less stuff up at my face and body.

So I went into my local lawn equipment dealer "Blands Lawn Equipment" and purchased some Echo Black Diamond 885' roll. I did a review on it and tried it out today on some properties. Here are the youtube videos for that.

Now I have to say I really like this black diamond line. It's light weight but tough as nails, I like the twisted line. I don't have to bump near as much. It does cut the grass easier and it lays the grass down right out in front of you which is perfect because then you mow over that and then the grass has a nice blend to it from mow to trim. I like how I can hover the trimmer over the grass easier when I am trying to cover a large area real fast and mowing isn't needed or a mower can't fit in this area. This line is really a great product. I will be buying more.

I've always used the redmax line and I bought a shindiawa trimmer last week and the echo rep gave me some black diamond to try. I just ran out of it yesterday and I'll be ordering some today. Trying to find a big spool of it. Any ideas where to get one online?

Over the years I have tried about 9 different lines. The echo black diamond trimmer line we have used this week on 28 lawns before we ran out. It's a great product but it don't last. I already switched back to my redmax twist line that I have used the most in past 16 years.

Last year I used the yellow green Stihl X-Line. The yellow color is easier for me to see when trimming/ edging. I have been wanting to switch over to the Echo Black Diamond, but I cannot find a 3lb. or 5lb. spool anywhere near me.

I doubt online is better, Echo stuff is often cheaper from the dealers.
