I use Preen in Late Winter/ Early Spring. Its probably not the best product but it works. I then use Round Up Quick Kill Pro during the season on anything I see during the season.

In Ontario all the selective weed control spray is illegal. We only can get non selective which kills everything so you can’t spray that in gardens. We just use good old hard work. Pick all the weeds. If you don’t have mulch on the gardens it’s a lot easier. I keep the soil cultivated and this allows the weeds to be picked easier. Also because you are cultivating every week the weeds seem to not grow because you are always disrupting the soil they are trying to grow in.

Here in Texas we are able to spray and there are different options. But what I also do I use a product called pre m buy a company called lesco. after I have pulled all the weeds out of a flower bed and as long as all the flowers and plants and bushes have been planted and there's nothing else going on I will sprinkle pretty heavily this product around the entire flower bed on all of the flowers plants bushes and then it Waters in and this is a granule so as it dissolves it creates a chemical barrier that you can't see and it does an excellent job of keeping weeds and grass from growing through from the bottom

I wish we had all the chemical options you guys have in the states. It is crazy up here you can’t use hardly anything.

If you go online there are some organic options that you can make with household cleaners like dish soap vinegar things like that might want to Google search that and that could probably get you some more options

We don't use pesticides just because of licensing and we believe there are other solutions. We do find that mulching regularly has really helped us here. Also, there are different views on landscape fabric, but putting two fresh layers of fabric can prevent the weeds. The best way, really is manually. Pulling the weeds is easy, but somewhat time consuming. So, we try to get the weeds pulled before they get out of control. If you think about it... say you have 1 weed and it produces 100 seeds. You now have 100 weeds, those 100 weeds produce 100 seeds... and so on. After a while it can become out of control. So really, the best answer is to prevent them from the start.

Flower bed weed killers are the most effective and quickest way to get rid of weeds. Spectracide is an effective weed and grass killer that works quickly. It kills within 24 hours. It is the perfect solution for large areas such as around pools, large patios, and before planting beds around the house. An excellent selection of such weed killers https://grass-killer.com/reviews/best-weed-killers-for-flower-beds/. You can choose from customer reviews and buy anywhere.
