How do you guys handle rain delays? Do you still work or do you take the day off. I'd love to hear your answers. Also, I just uploaded a new video to my YouTube channel about this. Feel free to check it out.

We get very little rain in my area ( we had 3 rain days this season) but when it does decide to rain enough to prevent mowing I give my customers the option to push their mow to the next day or skip the entire week. And as far as employees, its a day off and i take care of the shop stuff.

Generally next day, if not it's skipped until the following week. Each rain situation is different, especially if a tropical storm rolls through it creates a scheduling mess.

Got to preface that we are not a huge company, and only have around 30 or so lawns we take care of on an every other week basis in the summer. We are a solo / husband and wife team that our daughter on occasion helps us with things in the summer time. All of our jobs can be done in a 1 to 2 day time period.
It has rained ALOT since 2017 and Hurricane Harvey hit down here. We live about 20 feet above sea level in what is now becoming ever increasing swamp land since Harvey hit. We can no longer use our fancy Zero Turn to cut because of how heavy it is. It simply sinks in the ground on most of our customers lawns over the past 3 years . We've had to switch to lighter garden tractors that can be fished out of a mudhole if and when we do get stuck.
We split our clients in between a week A and a week B. We look at the weather forecast on the Sunday before servicing our clients and find what day it's not raining, or the longest time of drying out before rain and pick that day as the day of service for them. We then write them to let them know we will be servicing them on X day of the week.
Our system works for us; your mileage may vary if you do something similar.

I generally push clients back until the next week, if possible. It's always a bit of a mess, as our schedule is full Monday through Saturday. When it rains, we get behind...every single time. We MAY attempt to schedule our mows for four full days in 2021. This would give us a bit of a flexible schedule and allow us to do other things, like fert or tree trimming, on Fridays and Saturdays.
