How Often Should You Look at Your Taxes?

By Brad Behr from Copper Creek Cuts

Hi guys, Brad here from Copper Creek Cuts, and today I wanted to share a quick tip on how often you should look at your taxes.

As the end of the year approaches, this is a great time for getting ready with your taxes for the season just ended.

As a business owner, there may be some questions you're asking yourself:

  • Do you only need to worry about taxes once a year?

  • Should I do the taxes the same way I used to be taxed as an employee (if you've worked for others)?

While we may only have had to worry about taxes once a year as an employee, things are a little different when we run our own business. For example, we need to make four estimated tax payments per year, based on projections of what you're going to make.

If you're just starting out, check the IRS website (or your country's equivalent, if you're outside of the U.S.) and make sure you know the requirements for your taxes.

I hope this video helps, guys, and let me know how you prepare for your taxes.
