One Customer At A Time

Start one customer at a time. Go to your neighbors, go knock on their doors, and then as you get a few more, you know, if you're doing a good job, if you want to keep pursuing it or if you have a part-time job and you're 16, then you do this on the weekend or something like that. I mean, just start small. You've got to start somewhere though. The key is to start.

Don’t Be Afraid To Fail

You can't be afraid to fail. You have to learn to laugh at yourself along the way. You have to learn that if you make bad decisions, it might affect you for a day, a week, a month, but it's not going to end your business. Whether it's a financially decision, whether it's an equipment decision, whatever it is, a marketing decision or a marketing campaign, you can't be afraid to fail because it's through failing you learn how to succeed. I always tell people success doesn't teach you how to be successful. Failure teaches you how to be successful. The problem is that most people, when they get failure, they think they're a failure, versus just failing in the moment.
