So you've started your lawn care business. You've got your first customers, and you have the equipment you need to get started.
What now? While it might seems simple as to what comes next, I thought I'd share my top 5 tips on running your lawn care business once you've gotten started.
Just to recap:
Insurance. Make sure you (or your guys, if you have a team) are covered for all the things that could go wrong.
Software. Your business can really benefit when using software to help run it. Managing customers, scheduling jobs, taking care of payments, etc, are much easier by using software.
Be online. If you want customers to find out more about you, either through search engines or social media, then a website and online profiles like Facebook are key.
Communicate. Don't leave your customers hanging. Make sure you are keeping in touch with them to know you haven't forgotten about them, and that they can ask you questions.
Keep learning. Running your own business can be scary, so don't be afraid to learn where you can, from videos by the pros on YouTube, as well as right here on ECHO Means Business.
While there are other things you'll come across as your business grows, I hope these help you to get started - here's to a great season!
