Learn valuable tips on watering your planters from Jenneka Temkin! Make sure you have a reliable water source, such as a hose attachment like a spet or a watering can with a slow trickle. Resist the urge to power wash your plants; instead, use a gentle shower setting on your hose nozzle to simulate rain, preventing excessive pressure that could harm your plants. Set your hose to a gentle shower and avoid overhead watering to prevent diseases or fungi on your plant's foliage. Aim for a gentle cycle directly into the soil to keep the leaves dry. Water early in the morning or late in the evening for optimal absorption, avoiding midday watering when the sun is at its peak. Lastly, ensure proper drainage in your planter to prevent roots from sitting in water. After saturating the planter and seeing water drip from the bottom, you're all set!

"Hey, everybody! It's Jennica from J&J Property Pros. This year, we have the privilege of being part of the ECHO Means Business User Advisory Group for 2023. Today, we're diving into some tips on watering and how to properly care for your planters. Let's get started!

Tip number one: Ensure you have a water source. In our case, we use a hose with an attachment, but watering cans are excellent for a slow, low trickle. The key is to have a gentle watering technique.

Tip number two: Resist the urge to power wash your plants. Using a fire hydrant-like hose setting is a no-no. Instead, switch your hose to a gentle shower or similar options to simulate rain. This is much healthier for your plants.

Tip number three: Avoid overhead watering constantly. Overhead watering can lead to foliage diseases, fungus, or bacteria. For instance, consistent rain caused fungus on these leaves. Opt for a gentle cycle, directing water at the roots rather than the leaves.

Remember to water correctly by saturating your planter until you see water dripping from the bottom. Ensure proper drainage to prevent root saturation. Bonus tip: Avoid midday watering due to high sun intensity. Early morning or late evening is the best time for effective watering.

Thank you for joining us. Stay tuned for more plant care tips!"
