Hello YouTube, my name is Jonathan here with Hero Services, and today we got a new exciting video for you. We're reviewing the ECHO PB-9010 — the world's strongest blower — versus STIHL's BR 800 Magnum.
ECHO did send us this blower. We are not paid for this video. We are just provided with equipment so we can do a review.
All right, so just some quick specs on these blowers. The PB-9010T — ECHO’s biggest, baddest blower — retail price is around $600. It claims to have a miles per hour over 220 miles per hour and just a little over 1,000 CFMs.
Quick specs on the BR 800: retail price for around 650 bucks, it has 912 CFMs and 239 miles per hour.
All right, so far, as far as distance, they're kind of like dead even. The only thing I just noticed right now — this one has like a wider pattern. So if you're cleaning, you know, big leaf cleanup, I think the ECHO would be a little bit better than the STIHL.
All right, so a quick overview of the ECHO PB-9010T and the STIHL BR 800.
First thing we're going to talk about is price point. ECHO is a little cheaper in the $600 range compared to the STIHL, that’s around $650. So if price is something you're considering — there you go.
From what we saw power-wise, I believe the STIHL is underpowered compared to the ECHO. The ECHO seemed to push the leaves with ease, and it gives you a wider pattern.
The only thing maybe to consider — if you're doing like landscapes like mulch and pine straw, you might want to go with something that's less powerful. But I'm pretty sure if you can control that throttle, you should be good.
One of the things I did not like about the ECHO was that primer ball. It's just an awkward place, so you kind of have to bend down and, you know, try to locate it so you can make sure you push it. The STIHL’s — it's right there on the front of the case and it's easy to access. You can see it from a mile away.
As far as comfort, I think the STIHL is a little bit smaller, it doesn't weigh as much, and for me it's a little bit more comfortable.
Good thing about the ECHO though — it has that air-cooled pad in the back, and as long as you're blowing, man, that cold air is going right up your back.
So, you used both of them — what do you think?
I’d say the only thing I'd really have to complain about with the ECHO would be the mobility of the arm. Like, how much... STIHL, it’s a lot easier to maneuver it, and when you're using the ECHO it just seems like a stiffer arm.
STIHL's definitely comfortable in comparison to it. Weight-wise, I didn't notice too much of it — or either one of them being too different.
All right, so there you have it. ECHO’s PB-9010 — the world's baddest blower — lived up to its name. It outperformed the STIHL BR 800.
