When I planned a video on the best practices for storing fuel for my 2- and 4-stroke equipment, I decided it would be best to bring in the experts. So when I was at the GIE+EXPO this year, I interviewed two of the best: Jason Wilke, Senior Product Manager at ECHO and Kevin Jackson from SureCan.

Jason recommends buying fuel from well-known and busy fuel retailers (not discount gas bars) that typically serve up lower-grade gas, which may affect the longevity of your equipment. You’re also more likely to have fresher fuel pumped, not gas that’s been sitting for weeks.

In addition, limit the air space left in the can so there’s less chance the fuel will be degraded by the extra oxygen in the can.

Watch or listen to Jason and Kevin share these and more great tips in my video below.
