Tips on Getting Your Trailer Ready for the Mowing Season

With the longer than usual winter we’ve had, we’ve had to wait a bit extra this year to get our mowing on.

Thankfully, that seems to be coming to an end now - although I’ve seen some pros post pictures of snow where they are! - and mowing season is upon us.

To help you get ready for the year ahead, I’ve put this short video together on prepping your trailer.

• Check your ball hitch assembly

• Check the battery on your trailer brake pack (especially if it’s between 3-5 years old)

• Check your locking hitch pin

• Test all your running lights, turn signals and brake lights

• Spray any areas where there’s metal on metal

• Check the torque on your lug nuts so they meet your manufacturer’s recommendation

• Lube your bearings to avoid burnout

• Check the tread on your tires, as well as the pressure

• Make sure you have a spare tire
